I actually really, really dig this. First time I’ve drawn with a pen in forever, and it’s pretty damn creepy. A girl asked me to draw her something, so I put my iTunes on shuffle for a song to inspire me (as I always do) and stopped on the first song with a somewhat romantic title that I could find. Being me, I couldn’t draw anything sappy so it came out like so.

…I just picture myself from afar. Like a video camera watching me.
I don’t do this consciously.

The camera sits away slowly zooming in on my face.
I look tired. I look bleak. I look unhappy.
The storm outside isn’t helping.
The camera is shooting with a blue filter, reminiscent of the later Harry Potter films, or Twilight, or any movie where the main character runs outside and screams up into the rain.
Blue isn’t the happiest of colours.

Sometimes the camera just sits there motionless. Sometimes it slowly dollies in, often accompanied by a slow zoom out. Sometimes it shutters and skips, like its missing frames in its reel.

Usually I’m sitting upright on a wooden chair. Always facing the camera. Always alone.

It feels as if the credits are to come soon.

Fade to black.
